1.Although the combination of boxing and chess seems unlikely it has found its place in the sports world as Chessboxing. Combining the number one fighting sport with the number one thinking sport, competitors have to box and play chess in alternating rounds.

It involves an up to 13 metre (43ft) long pole and one of the many waterways in this northern part of the Netherlands that have to be crossed – the longer the jump the better.

Today kabaddi is a popular team sport in the Indian subcontinent and surrounding Asian countries. Apparently there is no playing equipment required and during certain phases of the game players have to hold their breath.
