In the last weekend before the Christmas period, COVID restrictions were tightened throughout Europe and families desperately attempted to be together. IMAGO photographers from all corners of the world showcased the effects lockdowns and testing is having on communities.
Culture prevailed this weekend as artists from Rome gathered in support of the street artist, Geco, who recently was identified and reported to police for damage to the city. Artists and supporters alike came together in Tor Bella Monaca, a suburban neighbourhood, along the painted wall to protest the accusation. And in China, the world University Student Fashion Design Competition took place on Friday to showcase the talents of the year.
Tributes were held in Beirut to show thanks and support to the Lebanese firefighters.
